Christian Counseling for Women Who are Ready for Something to Change

You may have prayed about it.

You may have read Scripture.

You may have tried to change your thinking or promised yourself that next time you’ll respond differently.

And yet the same struggle keeps returning.

That’s often when counseling can help.

Counseling gives you space to slow down and become curious about what’s happening underneath your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Instead of only asking:

“How do I stop feeling this way?”

we can begin asking:

“Why does this keep happening?”

That question can open the door to deeper healing.

Sometimes the hardest struggles are the ones you can’t quite explain.

From the outside, your life may look fine. You’re functioning, taking care of responsibilities, showing up for the people who need you, and trying to stay grounded in your faith.

But inside, something doesn’t feel right.

Maybe you feel anxious or emotionally overwhelmed.

Maybe you keep saying yes when you really want to say no.

Maybe you find yourself reacting in ways you don’t understand, struggling with the same relationship patterns, carrying shame or guilt, or wondering why you can’t seem to move forward.

      Why Counseling Matters

Christian counseling provides a safe place to bring the parts of your story that feel confusing, painful, or difficult to talk about.

At True You Ministries, you won’t simply be given advice about what you should be doing differently.

We’ll work together to understand what may be influencing the struggle beneath the surface.

That can include exploring:

  • Emotional wounds

  • False beliefs

  • Anxiety and fear

  • Shame and guilt

  • People-pleasing

  • Unhealthy boundaries

  • Protective behaviors

  • Relationship patterns

  • Unhealthy coping strategies

  • Your identity and worth

  • Spiritual struggles

How Christian Counseling Can Help

As these deeper patterns become clearer, you can begin responding differently—not because you’re forcing yourself to try harder, but because you’re beginning to understand what needs healing.

Biblical truth becomes part of that process as we identify beliefs that may no longer align with who God says you are and begin replacing them with truth.

The goal isn’t perfection.

It’s greater awareness, healthier responses, renewed thinking, stronger relationships, and increasing freedom.

Woman Learning About Counseling

Stories of Healing & Growth

My husband and I worked with Stacy through the Genesis Process.
There were personal as well as marriage issues that we needed to get insight on. She created a safe and respectful environment. She keeps you focused and is able to help you drill down to what the real issues are. No judgement here, just an ability to help you dig through your excuses and get to the reality of the problem.
Once you are honest with yourself, Stacy helps identify what is going on, and gives you tools to work through it.
We still use these tools today if we have something that comes up.

I would definitely recommend Stacy as a counselor.

I started my counseling sessions with Stacy thinking I simply have anger management issues and poor discipline. She not only helped me work through my specific issues but our sessions together helped me identify underlying issues I was unaware of. Stacy is attentive to my needs and recommended coping mechanisms that are in alignment with my own beliefs as well as values. One tool that I still use today is an accountability checklist. I did not expect my relationships to be more open as a result of practicing an accountability tool. My own vulnerability in sharing my accountability checklists with friends and loved ones had a positive impact. Stacy helped me achieve my goals for counseling and I highly recommend her counseling services.

Stacy was an absolute gift from God! I found her through the Genesis Process website, we met and clicked right away, and she ended up walking me through the Genesis Process for many, many weeks. I noticed how particularly gifted she was in counseling. She knew the right questions to ask, I always felt heard by her, and she was committed to following God’s lead at all times. We've stayed in touch for years after, and I have truly appreciated all her support and encouragement!
