Be Set Free

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord's  favor has come, and with it the day of God's anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory."

What is the good news? It is the Word of God that sets all who are in bondage to sin - free. The Word is Jesus Christ. "In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God." (John 1:1-2) The word says that "the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. My purpose is to give life and more abundantly." (John 10:10) Every lie the enemy tells you is meant for one purpose only: to destroy you. He went from life to death (on the cross) to give you life from death. Will you accept life and all that He has for you, or will you choose to go your own way? There are no promises that the road walked with the Lord will be easy; it wasn't for Him. The promise is that He will be with you every step of the way, leading you, guiding you, encouraging you, and comforting you. Go ahead, take that first step to being free and watch what happens.
