John 8:36: Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Before we came to know Christ we were people caught in sin, doing things that led to a life of destruction, not only of self, but to relationships. There is hope in God’s Word that says in 2 Cor. 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” This doesn’t mean that everything bad gets taken away and we don’t have to deal with the consequences of sin. It means that as a new person in Christ, we get to choose how we move forward in our new found freedom. We will live in a way that is a blessing, as well as being a help, joy, and strength to others. This is God’s glorious freedom – freedom from the bondage of sin!
